C O N G R A T U L A T I O N S to Wayne and Tasha!!! Today is their Best.Day.EVER.
I have had the privilege of knowing Dwaynette & Travis for quite some time. They are an charming couple who are clearly each others soul mates, perfect for each other in every way. It is a rare thing really, to find a couple who can crack each other up the way Dway and Travis can, it’s like just a glance sometimes and they’re on the ground rolling in laughter – the both of them. They have been through a lot together – and I have seen Travis hold back Dway’s hair after a night of partying too hard and I have seen Dway take care of Travis in more ways than one. It is undeniable however, that together there is a wonderful and amazing love story, one that has taken years to blossom, and that is still in fact, still growing – beautifully and in gods perfection. I’m super excited to share with you a few pics from their engagement shot taken by a wonderful and talented Hawaii Photographer – Bianca Photography. If you don’t have a wedding photographer yet, Bianca’s work is pretty amazing. You can check out more of Bianca & her team’s work at her website – http://www.biancaphotography.com/
Congratulations Dway & Travis! We’re wishing you a lifetime of love and cannot wait for your February 2012 Wedding. Also, wonderful job – Bianca Photography – truly one of Hawaii’s best Engagement shoots!

Caution to any ladies about to watch these videos: you WILL cry.
I came across this wedding in a lovely wedding blog called – Rock n Roll Bride. It’s such a beautiful vintage wedding I couldn’t help but post it. Hats off to Charlie & Jo for truly creating a wedding to remember.
The past has seen some really dreadful bridemaids’ dresses. Just watch “27 Dresses” starring Katherine Heigl. Of course the dresses were a bit exaggerated, but some were really not that far from reality. Check out some of the dresses she wore, in case you forgot or never saw the movie:
These are just 16 dresses of the 27 (photos courtesy of www.kheigl.com)
I believe we are far past the era of uniformed, less-flattering bridesmaids’ dresses. Why not changes things up?
Reason #1: Chances are, your bridesmaids’ will not have the same body type, so why try and fit them all into the same dress. Even if you all were sisters, your bodies will still be different. Case in point, the Kardashian sisters = different.
Reason #2: It’s a great way to add a pop of color and texture to your bridal portraits.
Reason #3: Pretty compliments beauty. Less-than flattering does not.You want your bridal party to feel comfortable and confident in their dresses. Going back to reason #1; when the dresses fit better, your girls will feel more comfortable, more confident, they’ll have more fun at your wedding!
Reason #4: You want your bridal party to feel comfortable and confident in their dresses. Going back to reason #1; when the dresses fit better, your girls will feel more comfortable, more confident, they’ll have more fun at your wedding! You’re happy, they’re happy, everyone’s happy.
Check out these bridesmaids. Don’t you just love the variety, pop of color and the different textures?! Definite thumbs up!

Is it weird that I’m posting pictures of myself on our blog? I don’t care, I love “L O V E” love them.. Hope you will enjoy too. Here’s Kenji & my engagement shoot. To make the story even cuter – we got engaged in this very spot just a few months prior to the shoot. It’s our absolute favorite place. It’s a 12 mile hike in, and out.. so hiking in make-up and getting pretty for the shoot wasn’t easy, but Shinji did an amazing job! More on our photographer (my fiances brother) to come….
