Erika and I had the pleasure of meeting one of the sweetest and coolest couples ever, Sarah & Dave, a few months ago. When their Day of Coordination pkg. fell through they needed someone to step in at the last minute. Somehow, they found their way to Best Day Ever, and we are so thankful they did:) Although most of the prep work was done, there were still a ton of details to sort through, contracts to review, timelines to create and layouts to be done ~ they were a perfect fit for our Month of Coordination pkg. We immediately fell in love with Dave and Sarah and couldn’t wait to get started.
Before we knew it, the big day was here! Sarah and Dave got married this past Saturday, 6.23.12 at Sunset Ranch and had the most amazing ceremony and reception. It was a pleasure and honor to be a part of such a special day for two very special people but we could not have done it without several wonderful vendors. We just wanted to share a few photos from the event and thank everyone who was a part of Sarah and Daves special day!
A few BIG MAHALOS >>> The delicious food stations were done by Jonas at Island Fusion, cinematography was done by Henry Mochida and Hawaii Wedding Photographer – Hiep Nguyen (we can’t wait to see how the photos turn out! As soon as we get them we will share them here), Colins from Chocolea provided the most amazing chocolate station (I’m talking chocolate covered oreos and espresso truffles that were to die for!), Phillip from Showtime DJs set the tone to the evening with really fun music (which had the crowd begging for more… seriously!), floral decor was done by the fabulous debbie hemingway and her assistant Mark, rentals were provided by Heather and the crew at Accel Rentals, Jeff Peterson set the mood with the best Hawaiian slack key guitar I’ve heard (maybe ever!), Kahu La’akea provided a heartfelt ceremony for the lovely couple, cocktail service was provided by Shaun at Aloha on the Rocks, and of course.. there was the crew (Dania & Greg) from Sunset Ranch ~ Thank you so much to all of you! The event was amazing and turned out to be a great success because of you guys! It was such a pleasure to work with all of you and we can’t wait to work with you again!
OK~ Now on to the BIG day! Saturday, June 23rd, 2012…
The day of Sarah and Dave’s wedding started off not so perfect… as a dark thunderstorm swept over the island for most of the morning hours. Erika and I arrived at Sunset Ranch at 10 am and began with the set up of the tent and lawn games, but with the rain and wind, we had a tough time, and ended up getting pretty soaked for most of the morning. As the hours passed we realized that this may not be “just passing showers” and thought it best if we got more suitable coverage for the food tents. We got a call into Dave to make the final decision and reached Accel Rentals just in time to make the change.
“Lawn Games” signage showed guests where the croquet, bocce ball and horseshoe games would be during cocktail hour.
As the vendors slowly started arrive, Best Day Ever guided each vendor where to go and assisted with set up .. and then, out of nowhere, around 2pm, the sun started to come out ~ Horray! We were keeping our fingers crossed it would stay out for the next few hours and … it did! I was so happy for Sarah I sent her a text message to let her know the clouds were indeed clearing and it was turning into a beautiful day up at the Ranch.
Glass vintage vases with ivory and lavender roses, periwinkle blue hydrangeas and blue bonnets were scattered throughout the tent as centerpieces created by Debbie and Mark.
And then before we knew it, it was time for the ceremony to start… the bridal party was lined up and ready to go, and the bride was waiting patiently right around the corner. Oh how exciting!
The cutest flower girl and ring bearer ever! This super cute photo was taken by Dania at Sunset Ranch!
Hawaiian Lei Exchange Ceremony…
“Congratulations to Mr. & Mrs. DeLuca!” Woo Hoo!
Registration, Guest Sign-in Table.. featured a polaroid camera and guests took their photo before attaching to a book that they got to sign as a gift to the newlyweds.
Groomsmen having fun!
Hanging mason jars filled with candles surrounded the lounge area (design by Debbie Hemingway) … they looked even better at night!
Clear bulbs lined the clear tent and large clusters of lanterns were set in the middle. The tent looked really gorgeous from all angles! Great job Accel!
Speeches by Sarahs and David’s dads and Sarahs brothers, were probably the best wedding speeches we’ve ever seen! Totally heartfelt and so funny!
Sarah’s brother Daniel Bess wrote the cutest song for Sarah and David…
Check out the orb in the photo below… supposedly they have been showing up in photos taken at very significant events and they are said to signify great love (and the presence of god). Theres even books written about them (Orbs: their mission and messages of Hope).. I’ve been reading the newest book by Wayne Dyer ~ Wishes Fulfilled, and he spends a few chapters talking about their significance (also noted in his blog)… Really cool to see one in this pic below of Sarah and Dave having their first dance… must mean theres something pretty special about these two!
Let the party begin! This was seriously, the best dancing crowd we have ever seen~ They didn’t want the party to end! We love seeing the guests have so much fun!!
We’d like to wish a HUGE Congratulations to Sarah and Dave! A beautiful ceremony and amazing reception! It was truely a pleasure to be a part of such a special day and nobody deserves it more than you two! Enjoy your honeymoon in Argentina and Peru!!!
xoxo, Nicole (& Erika)
