Hawaii Gift Registry 101

Starting a gift registry can be a lot of fun as well as a little stressful.  There are tons of items out there to choose from and it can be a bit overwhelming if you don’t know where to start.  Squirrelly Minds breaks down the basics of gift registry.  Follow these simple charts to ensure you and your guests get exactly what you need.

How many items should I register for?
Start off by determining how many guests are attending your wedding and then use the chart below to break that number down into different price points.  The last row shows how many total items to register for. hawaii gift, gift registry, hawaii gift registry
What items should you register for?
Start off by determining what you already have (if you are already living together) and then create a list of essential everyday items. If you still have a few spaces left after following the above chart, start registering for items that would be nice to have.  The list below shows a breakdown of items you may not have thought of:

Here are some final tips: Don’t worry about selecting a few expensive items.  Sometimes guests will collaborate with each other to get you a larger gift.  Just remember that it’s not an uncommon practice so don’t feel weird about registering for those items.  Choose what items that you know you’ll use!  It’s fine to start with a basic list you find on the internet but base your final decision on your needs as a couple. Also, very important ~ Register at stores you would shop at! Do you love Pier One, Macys, Bed Bath and Beyond, or West Elm? All of these are very different, choose stores that have items you LOVE, this way you get exactly what you want:)

Hope this helped some in giving you a little more knowledge into how a registry works and what you should register for.  We know this is probably an afterthought right now when you’re in the midst of planning your Best Day Ever! But it will be oh-so-fun to see all of your new gifts (that are exactly what you wanted!) the day after, if you do your planning right:)

Happy Friday !! Yay for the weekend!
